The powerful freshness of Sauvage exudes new sensual and mysterious facets, amply renewing its signature with an ingenious composition. Calabrian bergamot, as juicy and spirited as ever, invites new spicy notes to add fullness and sensuality, as the woody, ambery trail of Ambroxan® is wrapped in smoky accents of Papua New Guinean vanilla absolute for greater virility.
François Demachy, Dior Perfumer-Creator, drew inspiration from the desert in the magical hour of twilight. Mixed with the coolness of the night, the burning desert air exudes profound scents. In the hour when nature awakes and the sky is set ablaze, a new magic unfolds.
While the EDT is louder and more "in-your-face" with pepper and citrus, the Eau de Parfum is smoother and more mature. It trades some of that sharp opening for a rich, creamy vanilla and amber dry down.
Absolutely. Its ability to perform in both hot and cold weather makes it a perfect "one-bottle" collection for a man who wants to smell great in every situation.
No. This is a subtly smoky, woody vanilla from Papua New Guinea. It adds a "velvety" texture to the fragrance rather than making it smell like candy
Because this is a high-performance fragrance, 2 to 3 sprays are usually sufficient for a full day of wear. For office or school environments, 1–2 sprays on the neck or chest are ideal. For outdoor events or larger rooms, you can increase to 4 sprays (one behind each ear, one on the back of the neck, and one on your shirt) for better projection.
While they share a similar name, they are very different "beasts." The Sauvage EDP is smooth, fresh, and versatile, featuring a prominent vanilla and ambroxan dry down. Sauvage Elixir is a highly concentrated "liqueur" of a fragrance that is much darker, spicier (with heavy licorice and cinnamon), and far more potent, making it strictly an evening or cold-weather scent.
